Everyone has an opportunity to serve as a Liturgical Minister. The Church has opportunities for all its followers to serve. Children as young as 11 can become altar servers adults are invited to serve as lectors, Ministers of the Eucharist and Ushers.

Please read through each description of our liturgical ministries to see where you can serve. Actively participating at mass deepens your faith life and enhances the lives of those you serve.

Altar servers are ministers who assist at all Sunday Masses, First Communions and Confirmations. Students in grades 4 and up are encouraged to inquire on how they can serve at the altar. A period of training with some fun activities will help prepare all our servers for this ministry. For more information contact the rectory 516-785-0236.

Eucharistic Ministers are trained and commissioned to distribute the Body and Blood of Christ at Sunday and Weekday Masses. They also assist at Funerals and other special liturgies. Eucharistic Ministers may also bring the Eucharist to the homebound as well as those hospitalized and in nursing homes.  For more information contact the rectory 516-785-0236.

Lectors are trained and commissioned ministers who proclaim the Word of God. They serve at all Sunday and Weekday Masses. They also assist at Funeral Masses. Lectors are also called upon to serve at special events that include Lessons and Carols, Good Friday Services and para liturgies.  For more information contact the rectory 516-785-0236.

Ushers are the first people parishioners and visitors meet upon entering the church. Ushers provide assistance at Sunday Masses and other special liturgical celebrations. Ushers are greeters, they guide people to their seats, distribute materials and information. They also take up the collection and ask worshippers to be gift bears at mass.  For more information contact the rectory 516-785-0236.

Help beautify our worship space by cleaning the church together every Friday.  For more information contact the rectory 516-785-0236.
