Families who are suffering the loss of a loved one are invited with the assistance of the Consolation Minister to share in the preparation of the Funeral Mass.  Listed below are the suggested Scripture readings for Funeral Masses.   The St. Raphael Ministry of Consolation has trained lectors to proclaim these readings at the funeral mass.   However, if a family member or friend of the loved one is a Lector in their home parish they may be invited to proclaim the scripture at the funeral mass.  Your Consolation Minister will have more details regarding this when you meet to finalize all preparations for the mass.
