Dear Friends,

  On behalf of the St. Raphael Parish community, welcome to our web site!  St. Raphael’s is a large (5500 families) Roman Catholic parish located in East Meadow, Long Island, New York.  The parish was founded over 60 years ago, and continues to be a growing and welcoming community of disciples of Jesus Christ.

As our Mission Statement says, we companion one another through active participation in worship and in service.  The abundant gifts with which God has blessed us are evidenced in over 50 parish ministries, as well as in our relationships with family, friends and larger community.  We seek, find, and celebrate God’s loving presence in all aspects of our lives.

On June 26, 2004, our parish celebrated the dedication of our new church building.  The building process of several years was always rooted in prayer and has brought forth a beautiful and welcoming worship space as well as having deepened our experience of being a community of “living stones with Jesus as our cornerstone”.  Check out pictures of our new church and pray with us our “Prayer for Being Church”.
